Clarence House is a massive 8-bedroom holiday lodge in Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria. This sprawling property can sleep up to 18 guests across the main house, barn and two small cottages. Perfect for large family gatherings with ample parking and enough space for everyone to spread out without stepping on each other's toes.

Located in the heart of Dalton-in-Furness, you're just 2.7 miles from the beach and surrounded by the stunning Cumbrian landscape. The shops are a 4-minute walk away and the pub is even closer at just 0.1 miles - no designated driver needed! The outdoor hot tub is ideal for late-night drinks (Christmas morning Buck's Fizz, anyone?) though you might get wet twice if it's raining!

The accommodation includes 5 bedrooms in the main house (3 on ground floor), plus 3 more in the barn and cottages. The family room boasts a king-size bed and two singles with a fancy Juliet balcony. There's a ground-floor bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and walk-in shower. The open-plan living space has loads of sofas to lounge on after stuffing yourself silly in the well-equipped kitchen.

Nearby attractions include the South Lakes Safari Zoo (4 miles, 10-minute drive), Furness Abbey ruins (3 miles, 8 minutes), Conishead Priory Buddhist temple (5 miles, 15 minutes) and Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve (6 miles, 15 minutes).

Clarence House is brilliant for multi-generational family holidays with ground-floor bedrooms for grandparents who can't manage stairs. Just be prepared to queue for the loo in the main house - apparently there's only one toilet for three bedrooms!
